In Class 4/19: Selective Pressures

A tamed fox, perhaps yearning for human attention, from one of the NPR stories in this blog post

To consider the concept of selective pressure, we will listen to the news stories below and answer these questions for each one: (a) what selective pressures are being applied (b) by what or whom (c) resulting in what final outcome?

If you’d like to find out more about fox domestication, the recently published book How to Tame a Fox offers an in-depth look at the research described in the last NPR story. Also, this Deep Look video is a great intro to the color-creating structures of butterfly wings mentioned in the first two NPR stories.
